Jeeva Muhil destroyed her task on Monday.
The 24-year-old has invested the last 36 months being employed as a bartender at Noobar, a restaurant in Terminal B of Philadelphia International Airport.
The restaurant is certainly one of many when you look at the airport owned by OTD, which contracts with American Airlines. Muhil made $6.00 each hour, and stated she have been looking towards warmer weather, whenever a lot more people travel and tips improve.
But, she said, that changed Monday and Tuesday, as soon as the layoffs began. Muhil & most other OTD workers have lost their advantages, arenвЂ™t getting any severance and canвЂ™t have paid for compensated time off that they had perhaps maybe maybe not utilized.
вЂњConservatively, 70 to 80percent of us are away from work,вЂќ Muhil stated. вЂњTuesday was basically about us all trying to get jobless.вЂќ
